Scholastic Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Paid time off, employee assistance, free onsite dr

I honestly think Scholastic benefits are on par with the best in the country. I feel my role deserves to be paid a more comparative salary to others in my field, but I also know management works to continually reevaluate that standard and I see the results of that review in my compensation package.

Fair compensation overall & great benefits

bi-annual bonus, beautiful office, subsidized lunches

The ability to invest into a retirement fund

The best part about my compensation package is that they pay for your schooling

Review from Sales Dept

It covers most meds and treatments.

Review from Operations Dept

Health care and 401k contribution

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Basically all healthcare is out of pocket as the deductible is so high. With all of the expected overtime, I earn less than minimum wage

We are well under market compensation for our roles

This job should pay no less then 19 per hour. And make sure that any new person hired gets paid that amount with extensive training to be sure that employee does not walk

you need to pay anyone standing on their feet all day at least 18 per hour, especially with the heavy lifting

Review from Operations Dept

Employees who work there for a long time do not receive adjustments to keep up with the cost of living

Most employees are doing the work of 10 roles. There are no markers for achievement. Peopel are granted promotions and job totles based on favoritism rather than performance.

Employees of 10 years make < $1 more than new hires Strict attendance policy As of 2021, insurance policy still has blanket ban on all transgender related healthcare, while company promotes itself to customers as being LGBT inclusive. Two 15 min. breaks and one 30 min. lunch for 10.5 hr shifts

Time off, better safety precautions

Because the pay is not a liveable wage and the work requires long hours with no overtime

Pay more, offer consistent hours.

There is no gender equity in the pay structure nor is there consistency between peers or on the basis of merit

Review from Sales Dept

I feel very under-valued. I've been there 5yrs and only make 10 cents more an hour than people who just walk through The door. I realize they have to have a good start pay so these people will want to stay, but for your seasoned workers to have to train, they should be paid accordingly.

Review from Operations Dept

Management constantly tells us we are a team and they're looking for creative ideas for XYZ. Any and all ideas presented are immediately shot down and we're told a variety of reasons it won't work. When you don't offer up any more ideas because you're defeated, now you're not a team player.
