Scholastic Outlook Employee Reviews

What makes you most happy at work?

breaks when I have been working a long stretch.

Getting the latest educational research

I love my job. It allows me to bring all of my creativity and problem solving skills to the table. I get to constantly do new things and find ways to do better. I get to share my journey with others so they might improve as well. It becomes an adventure every day, even on the hardest ones.

The fact that we have such a noble mission!

The fact that our customers are children, and they can be very demanding. My job really isn't hard work

Review from Operations Dept

Knowing I work for a company whose mission is to put books into the hands of students.

The fact that I get paid and the co workers

Review from Sales Dept

Interacting with my staff

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

It starts from the very top. When you have lazy people in control that allow managers to do nothing but sit and talk all day you send a bad message to those having to work on their feet all day

Fire all the HR department and put real Hr that will hire qualified people for DECENT pay

Review from Operations Dept

Shipping delays, lag in customer service responses and lack of a overall message for the company.

Low pay, seasonals kept under 40 hours so benefits don't have to be given, strict attendance/time off policy, expected to handle contacts in under 5 minutes with no time between contacts. Low employee retention rate could be improved by offering better pay and work/life balance.

Pay is not aligned for the job. Tyrant personalities need to go.

Management needs to be respectful and stop drinking the kool-aid. We don't buy you propaganda so stop with the BS and just be real with us.

Review from Sales Dept

They do not treat the employees equally. They need to reverse this behavior.
