I work in a pod
Lots of offices I didn't know about until someone walk in or out of it. We have only one floor to ourselves inside another hospital.

No name dropping but I met my campus CNO when I first interviewex for the 3rd time. They were being handed over from Kindred Health care when I first started interviewing

My orientation was 2 weeks but I did another 2 weeks per my supervisor

Depending on how many hours you work. And they only let one person from each department off at a time for vacation. Like 1 Nurse,1Respiratory, 1 physical therapy.

You have an HR person available to you hopefully close within walking distance that you talk with about any concerns you have. You accumulate extended leave time which is like your sick leave.
What are the most important soft skills I need to be successful at Select Medical?
As an STNA it's probably good to be ready to be mostly solo on your own doing your assignment. Except when you have to transfer a patient out of bed or back in bed. Having more than 10 patients depending on staff available, shift and bed capacity in the facility you work. Being sent to get blood for patients, taking patients to CAT SCAN, transfer to car to go home.
