What interview questions does HCR ManorCare ask?
Top Employee Response
This is the worst company and they are shutting down because of how awful they are.
They ask about experience and why you want to work there
The usual.
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at HCR ManorCare?
Increase staffing and spread the acutely out among the nurses
Treat and compensate the nurses properly so they are not forced to resign and be overworked/underpaid. This company will never be able to retain nurses at the rate they are going. It's disgusting. How can consumers expect their loved ones to be cared for when the employees are not cared for?
Have professionals who are over the age of 30 Handle marketing and social services as well as admissions Unless they are extremely professional
What do people at HCR ManorCare think about the CEO? What do they do well and what can they improve?
Has no clue whst3 actually is going on in the facilities
This company has already changed hands, ownership, etc. They were in a bankruptcy situation and the conditions of the employment have not changed, which is a poor reflection of said change.
I've been at HCR ManorCare for 8 years and I have never seen the CEO in the building. Or at a company function. Ever. I'm not sure if he even works out of the Toledo headquarters.

They don't.

Uncertain. They recently went bankrupt
I can't even believe this company has been in business as long as it has. They will eventually get sued by patients and employees for neglect.

Your too tired to enjoy off time
It's impossible because the management causes such stress that it affects the physical and mental well being of it's employees.

Both.

Some are great others are rude and not team players at all
Coworkers are good, except management. They are vindictive, manipulative, threatening, contradictory liars.
What's the interview process like at HCR ManorCare?
Easy process. I started the next day
They tell you what you want to hear so that you think it's a great place to work. It's deception.
What's the office vibe like at HCR ManorCare?
They berate nurses over the phone with other employees on speaker.
Its good as long as you arent looking at the happy promedica people across the street. thats why nobodys office is on the front of the building. might give them ideas about switching
How's the work life balance at HCR ManorCare?
Top Employee Response
Their nurses are treated like garbage, so there is no healthy balance of life and work. On days before having to work there, the nurses can't even enjoy days off because they are so stressed and anxious about what management is going to do next to make their jobs that much worse. The nurses are forced to resign because the management puts them in a position to hate life and work so much because of the way management treats them. There have even been reports of nurses having heart attacks because of the amount of stress they experience because of the poor treatment of management.
Depends on the manager. Some managers allow employees to work from home, be flexible with start/end times. Other managers will literally use a stopwatch to clock the amount of time an employee takes to go to the bathroom.
