The best thing about my team is the way we support each other through tough shifts. Despite being understaffed and overwhelmed, we work together, communicate well, and lift each other up. The teamwork and compassion among coworkers are what keep this place running.

Wonderful health care coverage - nearly everything is paid by the insurance, very little out of pocket for the insurance or the coverages. My $100k surgery last year only cost me about $1200 which includes doctor office visits and prescriptions. Company also provides a quarterly transportation benefit plus other goodies.

I assume "drink" is to mean alcohol. I can't imagine any place of business where it is "cool" or acceptable to drink alcohol, but definitely not here. We have wonderful coffee systems that offer a variety of coffees, hot chocolates, and other mixes as well as ice/water machines, and yes, everyone freely enjoys them as well as any visitors.

  • Drink as in alcohol is forbidden at our company as well as at external meetings while on the clock. The only exception would be a senior leadership evening event or attending a company sponsored charity event and even then, you're required to be very professional. However, we do enjoy wonderful fresh ground coffees and hot chocolate machines as well as fresh ice/water centers.

Asked to all employees at DIGNITY HEALTH

  • What team outings? It's not high school, it is a hard working non-profit organization where most employees work the equivalent of 3 full-time jobs compressed into 8 hours (since o.t. is not allowed). So-called Retreats are work and the only perk is a dinner packed into a room together and at least enjoying a hot meal before the next day of a repeat of hard work. If you're in the right clique, you might get to slack off more and actually walk outside and dine out for lunch but the majority do not see that kind of luxury.

Some will snack at their desk but the majority meet in any of the numerous equipped kitchens to socialize or go out in groups. Many meetings are held during the noon time and as a rule, hot meals are supplied for those events; leftovers are made available to employees - there is never a shortage of food. I guess that's why so many belong to gyms!
