Review from HR Dept

All the extra perks we receive

Review from HR Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Our benefits are extremely expensive. To insure my family costs me 12k a year. Other companies in the Bay Area pay 100% of their employees premiums. We get email after email about how well Sephora is doing, but we dont see any compensation related to that. Bonuses are taxed like crazy.

Review from Marketing Dept

My department is being closed but with all of the job requirements added over the past year, I believe we should have received at least $2-$3 more.

Ease of moving up to a higher position and more flexibility with hybrid work.

Review from Design Dept

I feel a little scope of improvement in my role according to the responsibilities given

Retail is in general underpaid. I believe Sephora is about 10 - 15% off the mark on pay. Health benefits are expensive and there are so manyother benefits that could be offered at full cost to the employee such as Allstate or lifelock identity insurance or umbrella policy coverage

during the peak season we are offered a bonus but i rather have extra money throughout the whole peak season

Review from Product Dept

Compensation isn't clearly communicated - it's not known what band you are, if your advanced degree counts towards comp or why you are paid what you are. We are just told that the company analyzes the market and adjust comp to it.

Review from Operations Dept

Beyond just compensation, it feels as though we are keeping our employees hybrid to fill a quota. Would love for us to be open a hybrid approach as many teams now have remote employees.

I found out i have been underpaid in both of my roles despite being a tenured employee. Other people in the same position make more, when I have been in my role/with the company longer.

San Francisco is a very expensive place to live and with the rising cost of living, I feel like I am still living pay check to pay check and it's heartbreaking that I am not able to support myself as a single adult living by myself.

Review from Design Dept

It's only the bonus that is making my comp somewhat competitive, without the good level 10 bonuses we have been getting the comp would be below market

Review from Operations Dept

no stock options or employee stock purchase plan of parent company stock; very long path to promotion

My time is not valued and am often in situations where things that are needed become a fire drill with little organization and prep from the partners. If my compensation can be enough to match inflation.

Review from HR Dept

a promotion in title and raise in salary

Review from HR Dept

It's not the job. It's the managers telling us it's too expensive for air..I look on line to see it's a billion dollar industry. Something is definitely wrong. They can't keep employees because the heat. 5 ppl just quit this week and 3 last week.

Making things rights. Not having any favorisime

Review from Sales Dept

Compensation is barely enough to survive and gratis is nothing compared to the executives that get anything they want for free

I was part time so none of those luxuries apply to me. I asked for benefits but there was no budget for that. I felt fairly compensating until I had Covid and wasn't believed without having saved the contaminated test - with no sick days I didn't see why I should keep the germs in the house.

Review from Sales Dept

Sephora is not wht it use to be it seems as it has become micro managed enviroment like Ulta . I have worked with a better team of leader ship and have been part of leaderahip for other cosmetic retailers

not getting promoted if your not their favourite
