This is not an environment for African Americans. There is simply no where to go in this company. All of the top executives are white and older. There are speckles of women here and there. The opportunity to advance is non existent.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The pay needs to be higher. Its difficult to justify working in a high stress role and being paid so little, i think this company takes advantage of associates who are passionate about the work.
A 1 or 2% increase in todays ecconomy is a joke.

Little pay for lots of work, cant get help when you get hurt. They dont fix any equipment. More money and appreciation. Stop doing jobs that arent actually ours to do.

More open mindedness. Less focus on who can get the biggest sale. Its a funeral home for gods sake, upselling is not something well recieved or respected in this industry

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Upselling and constant mistakes. Everyone is only worried about their needs and not a familys. Arrangers and FSCs refuse to listen to their voicemails and never get back to familys. I have seen them argue over who is taking a Preneed and then jump on the opportunity for an At Need family. It is sick
