Women get paid less than men in the same roles. Transparency around total compensation package and adjustments based on those values.
The benefits leave much to be wished for (Cigna for health insurance, only 2 weeks maternity leave, no 401k matching). Salaries for engineers are spread out considerably and it's not clear what salary bands are expected per level.
Friendly, knowledgeable, and our game days were incredibly fun.
Collaborative, supporting, genuine investment in your wellbeing and growth. Investment and interest in building a positive culture and strong DEI (which is thwarted by leadership). Overall team culture among individual contributors is great.

The fact that I got to interview with a few qualified men that were component and respectable.
Interviewers were friendly, spoke about the culture in a positive way. Most questions were relevant to position.

I like always having a positive, collaborative environment to work in, where my coworkers trust, recognize, and respect me.
Retention of employees and customers is poor. Despite knowing what problems exist with customers, Shelf doesn't focus on fixing these problems. Instead, the CTO & CEO have ideas and force the company to bring these ideas to fruition, even when there isn't any payoff.
