Slalom Consulting Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Fair, moderate industry-standard salary and bonus based on performance. The company is private, so there's no being beholden to public shareholder profits.

Fair pay and benefits for all members

Variability in bonus structure for sales folks

Salary is competitive for consulting

Their compensation is on par with the industry

Great payment plan with a lot of opportunities

Possibilities for bonus amounts go up and up based in performance and feedback. Effective work is rewarded appropriately.

Review from Engineering Dept

Healthy quarterly and annual bonus payouts for management. Steady increases in pay for emerging ones.

Slalom equity can create long-term wealth.

I think this is competitive and I didn't have to fight for it.

Review from IT Dept

Several options with varied price points.

So far, merit raises have at the least mirrored inflation.

High base salary than the current market. They have provided flexible work options where I can work at a different office locations or remotely which allows me to commute to closer locations and work in my own time.

Review from HR Dept

vacation is pretty flexible and generous

The opportunity to grow with the comapny

Maternity leave policy is great

Base pay is competitive with opportunities for growth.

base compensation is reasonable and roughly equitable with the consulting industry

My health insurance is completely free.

Review from Business Development Dept

paternity leave for dads, easy to understand PTO, UI in Workday makes for finding info on benefits is easy. Good medical and dental and vision and supplemental insurance.

Review from Product Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Pay based on experience and industry SME

I feel am paid less

Review from Engineering Dept

Better benefits like HSA, more PTO is essential

My market has high standards for performance and very little in the way of talent to make it happen - at all levels, but mostly leadership

Compensation structure is not aligned to what market is paying

Review from Executive Dept

Getting a promotion when promised

Slalom rewards navy blue jackets and khaki pants with brown loafers. This means if you don't fit that look, you will not be promoted.

Compensation needs to be in parity with bay area. Easy to see why attrition occurs. The attitude is similar to the other big 4 companies now where it is planned attrition when you realize your market value.

Review from Executive Dept

Wish we could expand our equity program and make it a bigger part of more employee's lives. I know this is one of Brad's goals and we're limited legally given we are private and will stay private.

Review from Engineering Dept

Recruiting roles are paid well below market rates, they would try to give bonuses, gift cards and trips away rather than increasing base compensation

Review from HR Dept

401k matching lags behind industry standards. Bonus plan is vague and a moving target.

Review from IT Dept

Some benefits aren't competitive yet because we don't yet have the scale needed at each local market. For example, in my market, subsidizing public transportation with pre-tax dollars has been offered at my last two employers but Slalom needs to be bigger for it to make sense.
