Slalom Consulting Leadership Employee Reviews

What do you like best about the leadership team?

They genuinely listen, care about everyone's feedback because they focus on the actual facts that happy and healthy consultants perform at their best, instead of pressuring consultant to grind and just get the work done.

Always reachable and available to talk to employees

Transparent leaders who guide with heart

Communication is Key and they have it!!

Actions match words. Stances are taken regarding potentially divisive topics and they follow that with donations, sponsorships, and boots on the ground support and assistance to marginalized groups.

Review from Engineering Dept

They spend their time figuring out how to improve the business vs constant pitching

dream big, focused on growth

Kind, caring and generally empathetic towards the employees. Don't endorse the "please the clients at all costs" mentality in most service based firms.

They care - and it shows. About our people, our clients, our work and doing the right thing - always.

Review from IT Dept

They are good, supportive, always ready to lend a helping hand

Solid support whenever it has been needed.

Leadership team emphasizes transparency and being a value-based company. I think generally their actions follow their words.

They are thinking about inclusion and diversity and fairness among their people. They instill confidence in others and try their best to create equality and work life balance too

Review from HR Dept

Transparency and they live the company values

Review from Executive Dept

They communicate well and take calculated risks. Vision is shared often, and the leadership is very approachable.

Transparency is really nice to have

They push each other and you to try everyday. If you don't get it right, let's come back tomorrow and try again!

That the are humble and care

They are transparent and even the CEO cares about what individuals think/feel on the job at Slalom.

There when you need them, but trust folks to do good work without micromanaging. Super supportive. Lead with heart.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Alignment to objectives. They seek to enter a new growth stage but have not clearly defined how nor received buy-in from all necessary stakeholders.

Reocgnizing issues when brought to light. Being prosctive about toxic personnel and their impact on teams. Culture isnt everything.

Not micro-managing every little thing.

They really need to check their microagressive behavior. Minorities do not stay in the DC office. There is a reason why.

Honest with the employees, accept mistakes, care about clients

Review from Engineering Dept

making strategic decisions that will let our company create more value for our clients.

Managers are not trained, and do not create much growth opportunity. They are focused on enlargement goals (do more) vs enrichment goals (gain new skills, providing added value to the org).

Review from HR Dept

Way too many siloed, even within individual practices. Many leaders are more focused on protecting themselves and their accounts instead of trying to build a practice. Turnover has reached problematic levels but it is dismissed as normal.

Review from IT Dept

Corporate and Office leadership have lost their way.

Review from Design Dept

I like that they are hiring more experienced senior leadership. while as a start up the leadership was inexperienced, but its changing.
