Empathy, buidling connections, honesty, accountability, being reliable
Being leaders. Classes in leadership may help.
Greed is the driving factor for the team. You cannot change a greedy person.

Everything. On the high-levels, Sonder is about profit and does not care about emloyees or guests. They tell a good story and wrap it in a ribbon but nothing coud be farther from the truth.
Review from Operations Dept
Sonder's higher up management is very removed from its hourly employees and city level management. There are many city level issues (both employee and operations related) that need to be addressed that headquarters don't know about and there are no systems in place to find out about them.

Sonder makes it incredibly difficult to discuss pay and blame the company's wellbeing whenever you do raise the concern. They pressure you to take responsibility outside your role and try to make it seem like they're benefitting you rather than taking advantage.
We are not paid a living wage.
Whole Markets sre underpaid. Its why the company is falling apart
The hours are long and the comp is fair/ average
Actual clients to see and earn money
Leadership should be paid way less. The wrong people are always promoted
Sonder is changing their model, they used to have native english and french speakers as customer service, but recently changed to focus on outsourcing for lower cost in labour (philippines). During my time working with outsourced employees, half of my job became fixing their mistakes.
Being a team. Everyone feels like they're going to get fired so we're all siloed.
Communication. Everyone is stressed about deadlines but there are teams that are just not nice.
Review from Operations Dept
There's a lot of talk about company culture, but nothing to show for it. Quite disappointing.
A focus on culture. Don't think they know what it is.
office openings / hybrid options
Just go to another company.

Sonder headquarters and city managers are out of touch with their hourly employees. It took over 6 months for my GM to learn my name. HQ and GMs need to be MUCH more communicative.
Review from Operations Dept
The people hiring had no business hiring anyone. They hired people who were like them.
Make it a normal interview.
The wrong people were let go. The bad people get promoted
Everything. Everywhere you look. And so many lies. It's all falling apart.
Change of greedy management team.

More professionalized HR (in process!). We're a startup that's building the plane as we fly it!
