Sonic Automotive Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

That it worked for me but it would be difficult for others without as much self drive

Review from Sales Dept

There is not a "best" part of my compensation and am very happy with my total compensation.

Review from Operations Dept

I am paid fairly for the job that I perform. Our benefits and PTO packages are very good.

It is a package that strives to compensate for individual effort and company performance.

Very competitive with other positions like mine that i have researched. Benefits are great too.

Review from Operations Dept

Benefits and retirement plan are generous

They pay higher than the industry average.

Review from Sales Dept

That it is offered at an affordable rate.

Review from Sales Dept

Is okay nothing really special

Review from Operations Dept

What is not great about it

Benefits are beat in class

Review from Operations Dept

Low Deductible, Great health care assistance

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Compensation is very low for my market. Benefits in specific states are not as competitive as dealer groups who do business in specific state. We can use a more robust Mental Health program as mental health is a big thing right now.

I get paid a raise every year that you deserve it. Even a 5% raise helps the little people.

Review from Operations Dept

Health insurance is poor, 401k match is a joke, while the company continuously reaps record profits.

Constantly being lied to and massively underpaid for what I know and do.

You never know what job you have. You could be a runner one day and using a pick axe to dig a trench the next.. even though tour a driver?! Never a consistent schedule. Being cussed at and devalued daily.

more money and additional responsibility

I was let go based on an assumption.

Better benefits needed - especially healthcare.

I have taken on extra duties to stay busy and to help the department to have a better relationship with their customers.
