I really enjoy working for Squarespace. I've been lucky to have the opportunity to grow my career here + work on projects with different teams. I do think we could improve our perks and culture a LOT (actual unlimited PTO, bonuses, sabatical prog, ++ shares, ++ swag) VS other companies in industry.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Communication channels (All Hands, AMA etc), transparency and honesty for the most part.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Team culture. Communications through meetings, slack etc. Harder to maintain as we scale and grow though.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Fair wage, opportunities for promotion and comepensation increases. Perks such as good Health Insurance and other coverage. Access to shares.
What makes you most happy at work?
My team mates. Working with great people across multiple teams. Doing great work and producing amazing things together that our customers can use and enjoy.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The people. Social aspects, happy hours etc. Also events put on by Experience teams. Much harder to maintain since we all moved remote during pandemic and Dublin are severely lacking their own Experience team to organize events and harness culture specific to the location. Sometimes very US centric.
