The worst days at Squarespace would still be the best day at other jobs. While I have frustrations, they're so minuscule compared to the comfort I feel here.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They are approachable and, when appropriate, are empathetic.
What makes you most happy at work?
My coworkers and reports make days fun and less lonely.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
There is an open attitude to folks of different backgrounds and needs. Additionally, the company does not hesitate to make statements supporting marginalized groups which adds a level of safety and pride.
What are some of the best things about your team?
I find that when I meet a new peer it's like meeting a new friend. Everyone approaches each other with an open heart and mind, allowing for really compassionate and fun conversations. It's always exciting to get to meet and work alongside peers.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The compensation process is very mechanical and hidden. It doesn't make me feel valued as an individual in the company. It's less about the pay itself and more about the attitude towards pay. Additionally, the CustOps department is paid pretty low - even if it is the market value.
