I've really enjoyed it so far and hope to work here for a long time

I appreciate how open they are about sharing financial information and encouraging difficult questions from their staff

Their willingness to listen to perspectives across the company

No team is perfect in any organisation, but Stack's SLT displays a level of empathy, transparency and honesty that I've never experienced before in my career (from startups to big tech). Great job to the entire leadership team!!!
Review from Engineering Dept
The leadership team's communication is clear and often. From what I can tell, they are transparent with our challenges as a company. There are also "office hours" sessions in our calendars that we can drop in on to interact with the leadership team.

The initial face to face time during onboarding
Review from Engineering Dept
Showing that they are interested in more than the profit-centers of the company. Prashanth almost never talks about our actual public sites and the achievements of the teams working on them. Everything is about Teams and Collectives.
Being more transparent, and making sure people aren't over-worked
Review from Product Dept
paying higher salaries to existing employees, company morale
Review from Engineering Dept
Outside of the pay, I appreciate all the smaller pieces of our package, for example the home office setup budget and Calm subscription

The fully sponsored benefits package is best in class.
Review from Sales Dept
pension, stock options, bonuses, medical care, educational expense reimbursement

The money is fair, but my favourite part is the vacation schedule. There are a number of company days off, we get some extra afternoons in the summer, and extra time between Christmas and New Years on top of our regular vacation days.
Review from Engineering Dept
The pay, with the wifi stiped and gym contributions
Review from Engineering Dept
More compensation would make me feel better about my compensation. I regularly get offered positions with significantly higher pay.
Pay should be higher like how it is at other tech companies.
Review from Customer Success Dept
Base salary is not in line with the industry. Had to take a substantial pay cut in salary to work at SO. There's no room to increase salary even when you're exceeding your goals.
Review from Sales Dept
From a salary perspective, I am underpaid by about 25%, but the benefits make up a partial difference. Not many companies can match our benefits. This is also an FYI as I'm too lazy to look for another job.
Review from Customer Support Dept
My commission plan is wrong, has been for 9 months. I'm excluded from bonuses whereas my colleagues on the same team are eligible. My scope of work is not known / understood by my manager.
Review from Customer Success Dept
They've been very welcoming, any person I've interacted with has offered to help me with anything I need

My team is extremely capable with a broad spectrum of expertise. Our SE team is tightly connected to other BUs while being the voice of our customers. The team is always willing to collaborate and work together to solve problems.
Review from Sales Dept
collaboration, safe space, transparency, ways of working, top tier leadership from everyone
Review from Engineering Dept
The teams have a lot of autonomy and they all seem to have their own "personality".
Review from Engineering Dept
My team were very welcoming and I love that not all interactions are work specific but time is taken to chat casually as you would if you were together in person
Review from Engineering Dept
I only put no because there was not a sometimes option. Interacting with Engineering, Product, and Community teams is always a great experience. Dealing with the sales organization can sometimes be trying.
Review from Customer Support Dept
Be more willing to go out their way to help when help is asked for.
Review from Sales Dept
Some coworkers are very smart and hardworking, some don't pull their weight. Management needs to performance manage better.
Review from Product Dept
Everyone cares deeply about the company and product and are incredibly smart

Openness and inclusivity. Everyone is willing to work with everyone without egos or judgement.
Review from Sales Dept
honesty, transparency, empathy, safe space
Review from Engineering Dept
Stack has an inclusive culture. People seem pretty grounded and courteous. There isn't a lot of interrupting or abrasive personalities. From what I can tell, people are comfortable speaking up without fear of repercussions.
Review from Engineering Dept
There isn't an expectation to work way beyond your hours / weekends
Review from Engineering Dept
Way less internal meetings. Our internal meeting culture is a real drag down on the morale of the team
Review from Sales Dept
I think a little bit more needs to be done for employees that are remote from circumstance rather than choice
Review from Customer Success Dept
The Talent Acquisition team does their best to give timely updates and a clear outline of the interview process along with who I'd meet with. I felt like I was set up for success.
Review from HR Dept
It wasn't over the top, it was straight to the point!
Review from Sales Dept
Constant touch points with the recruitment team
The level of detail that the team went into with each interaction. It was long, but no step seemed unnecessary.
Review from Customer Success Dept
I was interviewed three years ago - the interview process is very different now

Our code base is older and large. It takes some history with it to to be successful. I haven't yet been able to just sit down and crunch through solid tasks. Everything takes a lot of figuring out and discussion and it isn't very satisfying to work in.
Review from Engineering Dept
While we are working towards maturing the company, I'd like us to also look into the case studies from many other companies showing working long hours and working hard for long periods of time hurt productivity. I would like us to try 4-day work weeks as there are numerous studies showing it works
Review from Engineering Dept
The community regularly gives feedback that we don't listen or care about their needs and launch things they don't want. We need to get better at this faster than we are. Things are changing too slowly and we're losing their engagement and trust.
We're losing our biggest asset: people. With so many folks leaving, and the workload being rebalanced on the remaining people, it always feels like we're in survival mode, and because those people are no more, the work environment gets a lot less exciting.
Review from Engineering Dept
It's consistent stress. Team is resource constrained.
