They miss the forest for the trees. Stock prices are doing great, leadership is very well compensated, but employees can't make rent.
Leadership are clueless and unappreciative about the hard work the lowest rank does for the business.

fair yearly evaluations and accountability of leaders to advocate for their associates

No amount of money can fix what's rotten about working here
No option for promotion. Senior level stuck doing junior level work because they won't hire support staff.

my team held no mtgs, no communication on goals or vision of leadership. in truth, management was just going thru motions for a paycheck

Never fit in in the office. Departments didn't get to know other departments.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
business units are focused on large profit centers. once a project is complete, its up to the employee to hunt to join another project team or be laid off.

Too much outsourcing to improve the bottom line. Undermining the confidence of experienced staff. Managers are focusing on self promotion.
