Executive Bio

Mr. Andy Adams serves as Senior Vice President of Store Development at Starbucks Corporation. Mr. Adams is responsible for leading the Store Development and Design teams focused on Starbucks growth while innovating and elevating the in-store customer experience. He served as the Senior Vice President of Store Development and Design for China and Asia Pacific, leading and building the capability to open more than 1,100 stores from 2011 to 2015. During the same period, he led the team to establish Starbucks China Design and Concept Studio, driving innovation in a variety of store formats including three flagship locations and 50 Starbucks Reserve stores. He started with Starbucks in 2004 in Toronto, Canada. He began his career in real estate, becoming President of the Winnipeg Commercial Real Estate division as well as a tenant representative for Starbucks Coffee. He completed an advanced B.A. in Economics from the University of Manitoba.
