Executive Bio

Mr. Brady Brewer served as a Director of Starbucks Coffee Japan, Ltd. since June 2012. Mr. Brewer serves as Chief Operating Officer of Starbucks Japan at Starbucks Corporation. He served as vice president, U.S. Marketing, where he honed the company's go-to-market model, led the development of many innovative national marketing campaigns and contributed to the company's successful transformation. Mr. Brewer leads store operations for the more than 30,000 Starbucks partners who wear the green apron, as well as brand and marketing strategy, product innovation and digital experiences in one of the company's most innovative and dynamic markets. Mr. Brewer served as senior vice president, Marketing, Category and Brand Management for the company's China and Asia Pacific region. Based in Hong Kong, Mr. Brewer led brand, marketing, product and digital innovation for Starbucks in its fastest growing region. Mr. Brewer has had the responsibility and thrill of introducing tens of millions of new customers to the extraordinary experience and values of Starbucks Coffee Company. While serving as vice president, Global Starbucks Card and Loyalty, he was responsible for building customer loyalty through the Starbucks Rewards program and accelerating the company's multi-billion dollar global Starbucks Card business. He and his team first launched the innovative Starbucks Mobile App that enabled customers to pay for their Starbucks transactions using their mobile phone ' a breakthrough in the retail industry. Prior to Starbucks, he held marketing and product management roles with technology companies, including Avenue A/Aquantive (now Microsoft), Visio Corporation (now Microsoft) and Microsoft's European Operations Center in Dublin, Ireland. Mr. Brewer is a certified Starbucks Coffee Master, a distinction that demonstrates his passion for coffee and a duty that has taken him to the remote coffee farms of Costa Rica and Sumatra. This experience left him with a profound appreciation for how the values of Starbucks result in a sustainable future for coffee agriculture and coffee farming communities. He has a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Washington.
