Executive Bio

Ms. Sandra Stark, also known as Sandy, has been Senior Vice President of U.S. Beverage Category and Global Innovation at Starbucks Corporation since 2015. Ms. Stark is responsible for the Starbucks Reserve brand and business, which includes reserve store segmentation, Clover strategy and the Starbucks Reserve subscription program. She leads the day-to-day business management of the U.S. beverage business as well as white space and new platform innovation for all Starbucks markets for Beverage Categories and Packaged Coffee. She joined Starbucks in 2002 and has held numerous roles in the category and marketing organization. She led the Starbucks Card business in 2004 and was responsible for building distribution outside of Starbucks and growing the business-to-business sales team. She also led the Starbucks Food business from 2008 to 2012, during which time she led the effort to change every recipe across Starbucks food offering; upleveling the quality of Starbucks food and removing all artificial ingredients. She also led the Blended, Refreshment and Tea teams, launched the new Starbucks Refreshers platform and began the integration of Teavana into Starbucks stores. She served as vice president of Global Innovation in the Global Marketing organization since 2012. She led the work to develop the company's coffee and beverage innovation pipeline with products that will ensure leadership in groundbreaking coffee offerings. Prior to joining Starbucks, she served as a consultant with McKinsey and Company in both the Chicago and London offices and left as an Associate Principle after six years. Before McKinsey, she was an engineer with both General Electric and General Motors. She holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and B.S. degrees in Engineering and Statistics from the University of Wisconsin Madison.
