Stax - a global strategy consulting firm Environment Employee Reviews

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

I like the people and I like that we have social events to encourage more bonding/getting to know each other.

The strong work ethic of everyone on the team leads to me pushing myself in work.

The work pace is fast and challenging, but there seems to be sensitivities around whether or not it becomes unsustainable. Steps seem to be taken to address any major sustainability concerns

The most positive thing about the culture is the 'work hard, play hard' mentality.

Supportive and bases on trust

The spirit of ongoing feedback and learning

The collegiality and willingness to ask questions and work together

The flat structure and value of different opinions

Very diverse company with many different viewpoints, but everyone's ideas are heard and valued.

I really enjoy that our company has frequent opportunities to come together for events outside of work.

Midwest people are nice, but putting that aside I like how people are willing to teach me and invest in my development. My questions are always answered.

Collegiality and engagement are generally high, socialization outside of work are often enough and encouraged

it is a collaborative team work environment

Everyone is very friendly and nice.

They seem very invested in each employees success and future as well as making sure everyone feels they belong and aren't an outsider.

The people are friendly and seem genuinely happy to be here.

We are still a small firm, and I appreciate that our leaders know a lot of us and are always willing to help out or talk through things

Very flat environment even as we grow, allowing front line employees to shape the company's strategy and operations.

The importance of social impact to the firm and my colleagues in both our engagements and culture.

Stax offers and encourages activities outside of work. From office events to social impact clubs, there is always a chance to meet new people.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

More inclusivity. It feels very segmented. Also way better training. The 1 week crash course does not prepare for actuality. Suggestion here is to have cohorts start together and do a couple day to 1 week crash course example project before first shadow project
