Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
pay scale is below market

Pay is middle of the road and the stock has not gained sufficiently to make up for the pay over the last 2 years.

They have been promising for years to adjust our salaries but we are still underpaid compared to the rest of the valley

The base salary is way too low! We pay at the 50th percentile while most companies in the Bay Area are paying at the 75th percentile. Every in-house attorney I know is making much more than me. Attorneys at law firms make 5 times that much. We can't hire because of the low base. Some left.

We pay at the median and while that's good fiscal prudence, I hope that we can grow the company further over the next couple years so that we could consider increasing our compensation.

Before the pandemic I would say the smiles on people's faces. It's hard to see that while remote, but I still feel people are happy, hard-working, compassionate employees.
