Dr. Orsula V. Knowlton, BScPharm, PharmD, MBA, serves as President of CareKinesis, Inc. Dr. Knowlton is uniquely positioned to oversee pharmacy services, marketing, business and client development for CareKinesis. Dr. Knowlton is a Co-Founder of Tabula Rasa Healthcare, Inc. and has been its President since June 2014. Dr. Knowlton served as Vice President and Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer for excelleRx, she was a Member of the founding management team and led the marketing, business development, strategy and implementation teams from start-up from 1995 to 2007. She served as Marketing Chairperson of the Compliance Committee and established Hospice Pharmacia's nationally known Medication Use Guidelines. She managed 20% of the national client base, which produced 80% of patient referrals. She has nearly 20 years of clinical pharmacy practice and entrepreneurial healthcare management experience. Dr. Knowlton serves as a Director at Tabula Rasa Healthcare, Inc. She serves on the Dean's Advisory Board, School of Public Health, Drexel University, Philadelphia; Jefferson School of Pharmacy, Philadelphia, PA; and George Washington Institute on Spirituality and Health, Washington, DC. She serves as a Director for Samaritan Hospice, Marlton, NJ. She serves as Director of Family Services, Westhampton, NJ; and Perkins Center for the Arts, Moorestown, NJ. Dr. Knowlton served as Director of Health Education at Amherst Pharmacy and Health Education Center and provided anticoagulation, diabetes, hypertension and asthma management. She has been certified as a Diabetes Educator, served as Anticoagulation Manager and served as Laboratory Director. Her long-term care experience includes clinical liaison to two of the largest nursing homes in New Jersey, creating and managing medication formularies and clinical step-care protocols. She also served on the QA and medication committees. She served as Chairman of the Medical Committee for the nationally known American Heart Association's Red Dress Luncheon in Philadelphia. Dr. Knowlton is a guest pharmacy management instructor at Thomas Jefferson School of Pharmacy. Dr. Knowlton co-authored the first published consensus guidelines on the standards for anticoagulation management centers in conjunction with the Anticoagulation Forum. She has authored and co-authored book chapters and articles focused on pharmaceutical care and medication therapy management. Dr. Knowlton was voted one of Philadelphia's Most Distinguished Women in 2006 (Philadelphia Business Journal) and NJ's Best 50 Women in Business 2008 by NJBIZ. Dr. Knowlton graduated from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia with Bachelors and Doctorate Degrees in Pharmacy and Masters in Business Administration from Temple University.
