Mr. Peter James deSilva has been President of Retail Distribution at TD Ameritrade Holding Corporation since 2018. Mr. deSilva served as the President at Scottrade, Inc. since February 01, 2016 to 2017, where he led the Retail division. Mr. deSilva leads brokerage strategy, brokerage product and client services. He served as Executive Vice President of Retail Distribution at TD Ameritrade Holding Corporation since September 22, 2017. In this role, he is responsible for the Company's branch network, investor service and sales call centers, guidance solutions and investment products. He has nearly three decades of experience in financial services. He served as the Chief Executive Officer at UMB Bank, National Association. He served as the President, Chief Operating Officer and Director at UMB Financial Corporation from January 2004 to October 2, 2015. Mr. deSilva served as the Chairman of Lead Bank and UMB Bank, National Association since May 12, 2004 and served as its Chief Executive Officer. He joined UMB in January 2004 and was responsible for developing overall strategic direction and ensuring execution of UMB's key strategies and plans. He was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the UMB and has direct oversight for all lines of business including global asset management, Scout Investments, brokerage, treasury management, consumer banking, mutual fund services and correspondent banking. He was responsible for UMB's service platforms, sales/marketing and technology development. He has an extensive knowledge of large scale transfer agency operations, fund accounting and administration and all other facets of mutual fund and alternative investment servicing. He joined UMB with 16 years of experience in the Financial Services industry and more than 20 years of experience in Management. Mr. deSilva served at Fidelity Investments in Boston from 1987 to 2004, where he served in several leadership positions including senior vice president/general manager of Fidelity Retail and senior vice president of Fidelity Brokerage Company. He served seven years as Senior Vice President for Fidelity Brokerage Company. He led Fidelity's customer services group as Senior Vice President of Operations and Customer Service. He served as the Chairman of UMB Fund Services, Inc. He served as Vice Chairman of UMB Bank NA since January 31, 2014 until December 2015. He serves as a Director of Scout Investments, Inc. He served as the Chairman of the Board at Greater Kansas City Chamber Of Commerce. Mr. deSilva served as Chairman of the 2008 Greater Kansas City United Way campaign, Park University Founders Day, the Asian Chamber of Commerce, the Leukemia/Lymphoma Light the Night walk, the 2011 Starlight Theater Gala and numerous other fundraising events. He serves as a Board Member of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, Park University, Students in Free Enterprise and Heart of America United Way. He is a Member of the Civic Council of Greater Kansas City. He served as a Board Member of the Kansas City Symphony and The United Way of Greater Kansas City. Mr. deSilva holds a BA in management from the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth. He completed master-level coursework in business administration at the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth and the Bryant College School of Business in Lincoln, Rhode Island.
