What is the best part about your compensation package?
This year, we get a free gym membership as part of our health plan! Our HR manager is always trying to get better benefits added, while keeping costs low.
What did you like most about the interview process?
The interview didn't feel intimidating, despite (as I learned later) how high the standards are for employees. It was easygoing and comfortable, and my interviewers asked about my values and interests as much as they asked about my experience, skills, and strengths.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The transparency. The leadership team are constantly communicating to employees about current operations, future endeavors, etc. I never feel like anything's being hidden from me. Every piece of news I hear, I've already heard from multiple levels of leadership, from my direct manager to the CEO.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We're all connected by our drive to succeed and do the right thing by our customers. From our leadership team down to the individual, everyone is always trying to do what's right, even if it's not what's easiest. It genuinely feels like I'm doing good by working here.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Having discussed salary with others on my team, I know there's a lot of disparity between income among team members, even if we have the same level of experience. I would feel better if those gaps were closed a bit by bringing everyone's salary up to the same general level.
Years of experience is one factor considered when making pay decisions; others include both intrinsic (employee value proposition) and extrinsic (market factors). We strive to ensure every employee is compensated equitably based on all elements.
What makes you most happy at work?
Feeling like my work has value. I know exactly where I stand with leadership and my place in the company. Whenever I interact with clients, I can see the value that my work and our tool has in truly improving their day-to-day operations. I feel like I'm doing good work, with good people.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We all take care of each other. I never feel like my teammates are out for themselves. If one of us is struggling, we all immediately jump to help out, because we genuinely care about each other. It helps that everyone has a great sense of humor and we "yes and" each other constantly!
