Compensation should be directly tied to personal performance, and goals. Factors such as other divisions performance, and factors out of an employees control should not be used against them. Across the board wage increases that don't even keep up with the pace of inflation are insulting.
Texex pay scale is set up on a socialist system. I'm a welder, it take a certain kind of skill to do this type of work. A metal prep job pays the same, requires significant less skill to perform.

Management were not very understanding, opportunities to progress career depended on what department you were in, workers in other departments seem to progress much quicker despite working less hours
