Mostly a positive environment, however for a company that prides itself on customer experience many stores are woefully understaffed, resulting in high stress levels for the employees who do show up.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We try to encourage and recognize eachother's successes.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They are usually positive, and like to recognize great effort when they see it.
What makes you most happy at work?
Interacting with customers and helping them find what they're looking for or brainstorming ideas for their projects.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
A 1% wage increase is not even close to being fair, especially when the company has significantly increase prices, eliminated a few positions and piled that work onto the rest of us. A minimum wage should be a living wage, no one at my store, save maybe the store manager makes a living wage.
