Tinder Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

It is competitive when considering other offers for my career

Review from Engineering Dept

The pay rate and the paid leaves.

Review from Product Dept

Free food Tuesday, wednesday, and thursday

Review from Design Dept

I like out Benefits, 401k, and summer fridays

Review from HR Dept

the company match of the 401k

Review from Design Dept

I like the $125 commute reimbursement.

Review from Engineering Dept

Its what I wanted when I joined, and now as I grow it will only get better.

Review from Engineering Dept

We have a good balance of base salary and RSUs

Review from Product Dept

Health insurance, salary and bonus. I miss when we had dinner in the office and coordinated catering from local small businesses.

Review from Engineering Dept

We're market fit. You feel like you are paid fairly based on your title and workload.

Review from Product Dept

Base pay is roughly market rate for my position, maybe a bit below. However, RSU package is not great given the stock price recently.

Review from Engineering Dept

I really like our annual RSUs

Review from Engineering Dept

The best part of my compensation is the Equity Refreshers received each year!

Review from Engineering Dept

I am happy with the salary, RSUs, the 401k match and the team trips.

Review from Engineering Dept

Best part of my compensation package is probably the entireity of stock, salary, and bonus.

Review from Engineering Dept

The education support we receive per year.

Review from Customer Support Dept

The overall comp package is good

Review from Engineering Dept

I think the consistent stock refreshers really help especially when the stock price has been less than amazing

Review from Engineering Dept

the stock options and the bonus structure

Review from Marketing Dept

Base Salary is fair compared with peer companies

Review from Engineering Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

90% of people in leadership roles on my direct team see contract workers as significantly less than them, and they get treated wildly different in a negative way. I get paid on the lower end of the salary range and negotiation is nearly impossible

Review from HR Dept

I feel from a retention perspective when expressing growth, I would love to get a clear roadmap and support for pivot.

Review from HR Dept

with the stock tanking, considering more RSU refreshing

Review from Engineering Dept

I technically am doing two roles but only get paid for one. I would feel better about my compensation if I got paid more...

Review from HR Dept

I feel undervalued as a human, and that no amount of money is worth putting up with the direct leadership team that I do here. I would feel better about my compensation if action was taken against managers that treat their teams incredibly poorly, instead of encouraging them.

Review from Engineering Dept

Better salary package considering the stocks

Review from Product Dept

Being a remote employee I feel left out on various things and also, the perks like free lunches and other IRL events don't have a remote counter part

Review from Engineering Dept

As always Customer Support teams are the least compensated organization even though we are the face of the company to costumers. Overall, GE Specialists role is not at industry standard even though we wear many hats and work through many projects/responsibilities throughout the day.

Review from Customer Support Dept

since I joined the stocks had dropped a lot

Review from Engineering Dept

pay is lower that similar companies in the space

My role is higher than my previous company but the payment is lower.

Review from Marketing Dept

Stock price drop. Maybe can add some refresh to compensate the loss a bit

Review from Engineering Dept

After going through a hiring cycle, it's clear that Tinder's position is roughly in the middle to low end of pay for tech companies. It seems the culture used to be laid back but now is really intense (and the numbers show this), but the pay is still low for this type of performance.

Review from Design Dept

I think that competitors are paying more for my similar role. I believe my role and others on my team do a lot that can go unrecognized.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Stock based comp is affected badly.

Review from Engineering Dept

The total package are below market average, due to the stock price goes down a lot, but there was bare minimum action taken. However, when stocks were in higher end prices and company had good performances, we didn’t get attractive refr

Review from Engineering Dept

stock price drops significantly since I join (150 to 30) and there is no close-the-cap refresh that many other tech companies have offered to their employees for the new hire equity

Review from Engineering Dept

The company prioritizes market compensation for new hires, but then does not provide growth. People who have been here 1-3 years would get better compensation by leaving and reapplying for their own job.

Review from Engineering Dept

I'd feel better about my comp if I were paid at market for my skillset. The data we make our comp decisions is lower than this. It would also be better if we paid at the 75th percentile not the 50th.

Review from HR Dept

Overall benefit for international team vary per country. we should have similar with HQ in the terms of any benefits. that's what tech company do.
