Tophatter has been been a huge part of my life for many years now. It was only "friend" when I arrived in the Bay Area and it has been the reason for many of my deepest friendships now. I have advanced significantly in my career and am still very excited at the prospects of the company. Onward.
Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
Tophatter is committed to building a sustainable business. The typical startup fears don't exist. At the same time we strive for growth. Much of the core team remains in tact after 7 years while operating a big business. Everyone is on the frontline and strives to keep growing.

Working with good people on interesting problems.

Everyone enjoys working at Tophatter. Passionate and positive.

Everyone cares about the company and individual well-being.

The numbers. Big green numbers.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Everything is paid for. The only benefits Tophatter does not cover are those that are a bit ancillary to common benefits.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
It's an eclectic group of individual superstars. They are diverse in talent and can pull up their part of the organization when called upon.

Very involved. Not just vision, delegators, or typical execs. They are very in-tune with the day to day on top of being super talented.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Collectively, we do pretty much everything right. Health, equity, pay, commuter, etc. I don't have to worry about anything because I know Tophatter takes care of employees.
What are some of the best things about your team?
It's a really diverse team. Not only in strict terms, but also in backgrounds. Some international, some east coast, midwest, etc. Many tech companies have people that are cut from the same cloth as the founders, doesn't seem to be the case here.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
There are a lot of people that have been around for a long time and that have forged strong friendships. If that's happening, you're creating a very tight-knit workplace. Relationships take time, so if you time and great people, you can develop an awesome group of peers and friends.
