strategic and thoughtful, they do think about their employees.
Smart, caring, try to do what is right.
Everything is good here in Twilio
Open, positive, and transparent - likely to communicate a ton.
A few people really care about employees and really work hard.
Faster decision making and setting a clear vision
Planning and setting a clear direction. We're going nowhere right now.
Being transparent and accountable, presenting facts with opinions, saying things that are worthwhile instead of blowing hot air
Turnover is becoming a massive problem at Twilio. The reason is that employees are not being paid well or they realize other companies pay much higher. Twilio doesnt attempt to retain talent, but instead hope someone can juggle a few extra roles.
Provide proper training to inexperienced managers and manage and stop dirty politics
Review from Engineering Dept
The benefits are good. Salary is competitive
Fertility support, espp, RSUs, excellent healthcare and mental healthcare support, career development coaching
The medical costs are very low, and there are reimbursements for wellness, home internet and books. Stock comp is great but the stock is losing value.
I get paid money and have benefits
it’s fair ….. ….. ?
Salaries are incredibly different from one country to another. It's extremely unfair to be doing the job of 2-3 people that combined make about 4 times your salary, plus compensation.
Compensation is less as compared to the responsibilities and as per industry trends
The amount of work Twilions have been putting in has been incredible and high tempo. Yet when it comes time for promotion or pay increase , radio silence. The compensation is usually "stocks" for doing a good job, but who wants stocks that are now taking a nosedive?
I feel am underpaid. Finding new job or position will be helpful
Base salaries are only attractive for US (sort of)
Smart dedicated people who want to do the right thing
They help each other and always share the workload.
Transparency and open culture from leadership
all of us brand new
Working with some truly amazing people who are just as burned out as I am , but they still show up and attempt to get the job done with the lack of resources or direction we are expecting.
I came to this company for the values - for the twilio magic. What I'm finding is that all the people who believed in the magic are leaving and the culture is shifting to one where people don't trust others and don't collaborate well.
Willingness to help each other
People are very collaborative here
The co workers make the negative vibes here lately more tolerable.
they claim to be diverse and inclusive, but if you are not US resident, you dont matter
I think they are constantly asking you to put your health first. There is a lot of work to do, but I have personally felt supported when having to take time off to recharge.
We need to keep people accountable, especially leadership and moreover the executive level folks.
transparency, accountability, people not being afraid to speak their minds (air grievances, ask for help)
fire inexperienced and non-technical engineering manager
The people I interacted with.
I was able to meet with a variety of people so that I could ask them all the same questions and compare their responses. Those that I could test the impact of the values. Which was great. But all those people have now left.
not drilling the candidate too much on technical questions
Process was very responsive and fast.
internal and external initerview process identical
Right now, not much honestly.
People, culture, work, everything is amazing
The quality of work is very interesting
Working with my co workers and being able to tackle some big league problems and get solutions that you can see in real time.
projects and growth of new teams
Need to ensure the whole company moves in one direction with all leaders aligned
