Mr. Larry C. Renfro serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Optum, Inc. Mr. Renfro serves as Managing Partner at Optum Ventures. He is the founder of Hatem Foundation. He has broad experience with seniors' health and financial programs, financial services and the insurance sector. Mr. Renfro served as an Executive Vice President of UnitedHealth Group Incorporated since January 2009 and also served as its Chief Executive Officer of Public and Senior Markets Group since October 2009. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Ovations Inc. since January 2009. Prior to joining UnitedHealth Group, he served as President of Fidelity Developing Businesses at Fidelity Investments. He served as Chief Operating Officer of AARP Services Inc. and President of the AARP Funds. From November 2004 to October 2005, he served as Managing Director of Devonshire Financial Group. He served as President of developing businesses at Fidelity of National Financial Services, LLC until January 2009. Mr. Renfro served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of New River Inc. from 1998 to October 2004. He served as Chief Executive Officer and President of AARP Services, Inc. since October 2007. He is a financial services executive with 25 years of experience in the industry. From 1990 to 1998, Mr. Renfro served as Group Executive of Allmerica Financial Corporation, where he was responsible for the Institutional Services division and sales, marketing, product development, operations and retirement operations, cash management and information systems. He has a distinguished reputation as a highly effective executive leader with extensive operating experience and a strong focus on supporting consumer service. He rejoined Fidelity in 2008. Mr. Renfro also spearheaded an entity there that served as a distributor, administrator and transfer agent for banks, including Banc One, Fleet Financial and Wells Fargo. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of 440 Financial Group of Worcester, Inc., (a former subsidiary of FAFLIC) from May 1990 to March 1995. He served as Chief Executive Officer of LCR Financial Group, Inc. from 1997 to 1999. From 1990 to 1997, he served as Vice President of Financial Services of Allmerica Financial Corporation and again since February 1997. He served as Vice President of APY from October 1992 to December 1995. He served as Vice President of AFC from February 1995 to December 1995. From August 1989 to March 1990, he served as Executive Vice President of State Street Bank & Trust Company. From March 1988 to July 1989, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Boston Financial Data Services Inc., a subsidiary of State Street Bank & Trust Company. From April 1981 to March 1988, he served various executive positions at Fidelity Investments, including President of Fidelity Retail Services and Managing Director of Fidelity Management & Research Company. Mr. Renfro has been Vice Chairman of UnitedHealth Group Incorporated since November 2014, with oversight responsibility for all enterprise strategic relationships, key client relationships and company-wide business growth efforts. He served as Chairman of Boston Financial Data Services Inc. from 1988 to 1989. He served as Chairman of NewRiver Inc. (formerly, NewRiver Investor Communications Inc.). He served as a Director of LoJack ExchangeCo Canada Inc. until May 2006. He served as a Director of LoJack Corporation since 1993. He served as Director of Hatem Foundation. He received his Bachelor's degree from Western Kentucky University.
