UW Health Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Insurance for family of 4

profit sharing, and the benefits

Fair base pay, opportunity to earn more with shift differential, overtime, etc., and affordable health insurance.

Medical & STD are pretty competitive.

There are several options and benefits to choose from.

Review from Operations Dept

The benefits are extraordinary. Great retirement match.

Review from Operations Dept

Low cost health insurance. Low copays.

The retirement fund and the health insurance are both very competitive.

Review from Operations Dept

match retirement, and best insurance in the state

When I started my health care insurance was best in the state. It has now been ranked in the lower parts of benefits/co-pays/deductibles

Review from Operations Dept

Inconsistent market comparisons for salary reductions and increase

Review from Operations Dept

It was better, each year we have to pay more.

Review from Operations Dept

Great benefits and availability to a variety of compensations

great benefits and time off

It’s very competitive with the market.

Review from Operations Dept

Vacation accumulation. sick leave. short and long term disabiliy.

Review from Admin Dept

WRS pension

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

My depatment is at the lowest point it could be at. Treated like we're 'not that important', no real sppreciation. The customers appreciate us more than anyone in administration.

Loss of union rights. Have lost too many benefits for years

They decreased PTO. Raises have never kept pace with inflation.

Paying a living wage in a city that is increasingly expensive

Profit centered for administration only. No care for staff shortages and safety

We are a Magnet Hospital and should be employer of choice in the area, but pay is set at 50% of the market value. We are the only level 1 trauma hospital in the area and are among the busiest transplant centers in the country. Why do we make less than the hospitals that don't have these patients?

compensation is poor and would be my reason to leave

I have worked 5 hospitals

I work in an academic center work is hard i should be compensated

IT pay starts at just 40k, similar position at university starts at 65k. Seniors IT with 10+ year expirence in UWhealth barely make 60k. Dont waste your life here. Every they take away more benifits and cut vacation time. CEO lines his pocket while lower staff suffer and claim being "remarkable".

More than just a "fair market wage" increase every day. The "raise" does not even keep up with inflation. You're losing experienced clinicians.

Better family leave pay, and a more fair distribution of pay cuts during the covid-19 disaster.

A general lack of respect for nurses

Investment in conferences and learning opportunities. Bring back the L&D department. Better support for working moms- paid maternity leave, bring back the canceled back up care program.

Review from Admin Dept

Lower deductible on health insurance. Better dental coverage.
