I came to the company as a foreman, and have progressed to become an Operations manager, I have been shown loyalty and respect at each position, I have been taught well by mentors and have received good advice and training throughout, but most of all I have had fun doing it.
What makes you most happy at work?
I love the interaction with all of my team, we have a fun workplace and someone is always ready to make you smile.
What are some of the best things about your team?
I have a great team around me, lots of loyalty and respect, hard working team members that strive to help the team no matter what the ask is, we continually move forward and have received plaudits for our work with our Vendors.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Respect, non judgmental, everyone is welcome, diverse, fun, hard working, these are just a few positive points about Velex, but to add to that the office and field staff all want to work hard, get home safe to their families.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I am currently a contractor at the company and as such I do not get any benefits, but I hear from my colleagues, that they are great benefits, and dealing with some of my workforce and helping them with their benefit needs I can see they get a good level of service.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I like the respect that is shown to the tower techs, I like the fact that they allow me and my subordinates to learn and grow as a team, I like the forward thinking and fresh approach to tackling old and new problems , they are progressive in their mindset and make Velex a great place to work.
