Out of 105 Vertex Inc. employee reviews, 71% were positive. The remaining 29% were constructive reviews with the goal of helping Vertex Inc. improve their work culture.
Instead of hiring worthless customer success managers. They should hire more people for the development teams to deal with the back log. Our customers would benefit.
The leadership team should look at the bigger picture and address the internal issues instead of portraying and following other tech companies. Deal with the managers/supervisors and their unfairness and mistreatment of subordinates.
Thinking, planning, executing, be accountable.
Leading, results, accountability, strategy, competitiveness.
To actually start managing people
Work life balance used to be incheck but anymore it's a complete grind. Health benefits turn to high deductible health insurance insanely expensive. The unlimited vacation is nice but it's not stopping people from leaving.
Yes the pay is lowered
The misinformed information during the hiring process is we've been voted the BEST Company to work for with excellent benefits. But the company only has HDHP health plans that are extremely expensive.
There is no equity for anyone, other than the executive team, even those who are not good at their job.
Compensation should be similar or close to the Market compensation
Honestly and transparency. Have more individual and group set goals and metrics
Reliability to trust they will show up
This company has bangwagon jumped into the unnecessary wokeness. The CEO Vlogs are so fake it's like watching a soap opera. Not sure whom buys into his Vlogs so fake and setup. Just be yourself and stop acting like some grand software company. Vertex is not Google please stop acting like your are.
More pay, bonuses etc More appreciation Company cookouts
Review from Operations Dept
Slow, steady and complacent. The relationships are passive aggressive in nature. Growth and collaboration are subject to favoritism and internal politics.
Review from Operations Dept
It takes weeks and months to get through the process. Many interviewers do not have the credentials, not expertise to interview highly skilled candidates. The questions and process do not reflect the job requirements. Many of the HR and Organizational Dynamics people left the company.
Fix the issues I mentioned earlier.
The scare tactic of compliance must be replaced with benefits, value proposition and strategic improvements.
Too many useless, time-consuming meetings. Long and irritating commute.
Review from Operations Dept
Better balance between tenured employees style/processes and new, more efficient processes for collaboration (i.e. not every point of collaboration should require a call or meeting - using collaborative project management platforms)
