Good collaborative environment, good work life balance,

I love it. People are great

Overall its a good company

My leaders have encouraged my growth both professionally and personally. I have been promoted several times and through educational assistance am now working on my degree. There are tough days, but I have experienced support and have been inspired to push through. This is the best team!

Over the years I have worked for Vistar, leadership has improved greatly. I feel we have a wonderful team now with leaders who encourage growth, communicate well, and engage employees. I have no problem going to the leaders at any level with any challenge or question.

Communication is key. Often times there is so much communication that things become unclear. Be consistent and clarify when needed.

They need to step down and hire more african american managers , male and female. No room for growth unless you have a college degree or beg to be put on another shift

The option to buy stock in the company is a nice perk

There are so many benefits! My spouse's employer offers sub-par insurance. Vistar offers some of the best insurance I have encountered as well as 401K, wellness programs, paid vacation, sick time, personal days, etc.

Previous experience along with time and dedication spent with the company is also factored into annual pay increases.

Fair and timely performance reviews, safe space to discuss toxic work environments and leadership

No room to grow and to much toxic waste going on , its like a high school, pay me more to my base pay

My team works well together without the need for micromanaging. We have good communication and are willing to help each other when needed.

It was quick and easy , not even a hour

I interviewed with the manager of my department, then a senior co-worker, and finally the general manager. They were open and made me feel comfortable even though interviews make me nervous. I was so excited when they called me before I even made it home.

Working with those I like working with and collaborating together on difficult problems

I enjoy my job. It has been great to understand how my position affects other departments. This is the first employer that I have not dreaded going to work every day. I have been able to grow professionally.

High turnover rate , stop re hireing former emploees, be more involved in work, stop leading with your title and lead with your knowledge

The communications are all different depending on who you ask. This makes for plenty of confusion when attempting to set department goals.
