Helping other people every day

I truly enjoyed vivint when the cared about each work -home life balance. This hasent been the case for 2 years.

Having the freedom to make my schedule flexible enough to continue to live my life productively.

It's a creative outlet, it is a place where I feel I am stimulated, challenged and constantly learning and improving.

I have a fair amount of autonomy and believe my responsibility level reflects my contribution.

Follow through on requests and be truly interested in the employees contributions!

Not enough customer being accommodating in the necessary situations

From my perspective, Vivint is doing well as a company. In my job area, I do not see anything that needs improvement.

There are a lot of comments of our sales team lying to customers about billing and things they get. I am not sure if we know who these individuals are, but I don't think we should lie to a customer to get a sale

TOo many changes and continual asking to do more and change.

Organization could be improved. Communication between all departments could be improved.

Communication. The departments aren't communicating with each other which means we can't communicate properly to the customers. Instead of working together, departments blame each other for the mishaps of the workplace which makes for unhealthy competitiveness and frustration in the workplace.

It's good most of the times, but there are times I'm assigned tasks that I need to slog through to get done.

Everything is going wrong. The environment is terrible, the training is awful, the supervisors are super unhelpful and never around and the pay is so little compared to all the work we are given.

vivint is struggling with its sales model; what's worked for the last 5-ish years isn't sustainable. the company mostly sees this, but it needs to happen faster. we should almost give our cameras away for free and then offer awesome services on top of the cameras.

Recently, the VP of customer excellence and the new leadership in customer solutions have switched tracks to prioritize profits over people, including customers and employees. Burnout and high turnover are inevitable unless dramatic changes are made or the leaders are replaced.

What do you like best about your company?

Great people who offer a top shelf product and service. In a recurring revenue business not all customers are happy as some want to skip out on their commitment. That can result in negative feedback on a fairly solid company. Vivint has a great culture and work environment. People focused.

What would you most like to see improved at your company?

Working from home being more flexible when it is time to return to the office. WFH hours generally put in far more than 40 hours a week, so the company often gets more work than they pay for when employees work from home. They need a way to monitor productivity and eliminate underperformers WFH.
