I enjoyed the interview process because it felt like a conversation. The questions were not too difficult, and the interviewer gave me time to think about them so I could answer it well.

Quick and responded in a very wuick manner

They walked me through the bakery prior which was cool

Meeting the employee advocates and the store manager. They were really welcoming and friendly. I also enjoyed asking them questions about the position and their expectations.

At Wegmans, most positions are filled with someone who is already in mind for the position, so in the posting process, applicants might have a 20 to 30% chance of getting the position

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

I dont know... maybe hire people that can doeak English . They dont bother with that anymore

Interviewing to change departments is confusing and impersonal. They offer a mock interview but when you don’t get the position the critique is word for word the same for everyone. They give the impression they support you but some of those in hr are not mature enough to be in the position they

Some people are prohibited to apply fir jobs simple because of their current position. Wegmans is missing out on potentially good leaders and managers because they refuse to look at a person's potential.

Streamline the process, simplify , shorten

Keep it brief. No need to ask point less questions. Ask what I expect to be doing.

Actually hire people that can complete the jobs.

Stop hiring people based on their looks. Rather their work ethic. Nobody that works at Wegmans in Dining Way in Potomac has very good work ethic. I just got there, and I work hardest out of ALL THE EMPLOYEES. And that is literally speaking.

Use video or recording. Having HR write the responses is archaic and distracting.
