Improve upon their communication and better organization
Understanding that fieldwork is a skill and good workers should be retained and rewarded. Field staff should not be treated as contractors, they are employees.

Yes. This is a very tough job. I think the compensarion needs to reflect the education and experience if the employee
They pay the lowest hourly rate available per the contract and you can work on a project year to year and never receive a pay raise. Thus somebody coming in new to the project makes the same as someone with years of experience on the very same project.
I was a contractor don't know about their benefits

We need to get together and as a sizeable force demand better pay, benefits and the like. Without the front line there is no ability for the company to fulfill it's contract awards
They need cross training very bad
