My overall experience at Widen has been fantastic. I was hesitant at first to take a job at a smaller company, but it was probably one of the best decisions of my life. There's a sense of community and of helping each other learn and grow.

People are free to be themselves and there's a great work-life balance that's respected and encouraged by leadership.

My team. Growth opportunities. The trust my coworkers have in me and not having a top-down leadership team.

Happy to get raises each year and I feel our compensation is fair given the competitive market we're in.

We have a great group of individuals who get along well, work well together, and feel comfortable talking about pretty much anything.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
People seem to get along well with coworkers in all departments; there's a real camaraderie between coworkers. The culture allows for growth and new ideas to be shared and tried.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The amount of vacation time offered and the health insurance benefits. For what we pay for a premium, I appreciate the low copays, deductible, and coinsurance that's part of our health plan.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The connections team members have. People feel free to hop of Slack calls or meet whenever anyone has questions and it seems like we have both good friendships and good working relationships between team members.
What makes you most happy at work?
Flexibility. Being respected by coworkers for the strengths I bring to the team. Being able to work with people I like and who listen to me, rather than drown out what I have to say.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The communication from the team, even as it's grown in recent months, has been great. I feel like I'm aware of what's happening around Widen and what our company goals are for the next 5 years and beyond.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The leadership team is quick to share out information both to individual teams and to the company. I feel fairly well informed either from my manager or from our weekly standups as to what's occurring at leadership meetings.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I love that leadership trusts the teams to make the right decisions and get things done. I love that we aren't a top-down, bureaucratic organization and that the culture is one of some independence and autonomy (to do your daily work, meet when needed) yet working together to accomplish a big goal.
What makes you most happy at work?
The ability to decide what I need to get done in a day vs. someone deciding that and telling me what I need to do. The connections with coworkers, even though I'm remote most of the time. Options to grow and learn, whether by going to conferences, joining book clubs, join different committees, etc.
