Review from Engineering Dept
Very good people who are approachable and hard working.
Review from Engineering Dept
Innovative, caring, professional. They have created a culture where I feel like I can be myself and utilize my best skills. Very supportive of personal and professional growth.
Review from Operations Dept
The empowerment they encourage in all the employees.
Review from Engineering Dept
The leadership team does a wonderful job listening to all employees throughout the organization and encouraging input from everyone.
They represent the Widen values that they preach and are transparent with the decisions they make.
Review from Operations Dept
Increase diversity (of thought, and experience), accountability, and transparency.
Listening to and trusting all of the employees, just not the select few on the executive team.
Health benefits are affordable, with both HMO and POS options. Vacation/PTO/sick leave very generous.
Review from Operations Dept
Pay is consistent with other companies in the industry and area. Annual increases are generous.
Total value of salary and benefits
Very good benefit package for everyone!
Review from Marketing Dept
Flexibility in work hours, an amazing amount of vacation/PTO
Clarity on what is, or is not, going to be professionally possible. Widen could improve at their ability to cultivate talent.
Being repeatedly told that we are paid "fair market value" while being able to prove that we are actually not.
Lack of consistency amongst people of the same title, performance and longevity.
Review from Engineering Dept
I don't like the health plan options.
Review from Marketing Dept
I am making less than I was at my last job and after the years of experience I have in the industry I feel like I could be making more. And there has been no talk of a raise or an annual increase in pay, I've asked about it and haven't gotten any clear answers about either. Same with a bonus.
My direct team is kind, high performers, and very professional.
Beyond the raw talent and dedication, we all look out for each other.
I learn from them every day and we can talk through obstacles and scenarios effectively.
Review from Engineering Dept
Hard working, dedicated, professional, personable, reliable, fun, smart, innovative, organized, always have my back
Review from Operations Dept
Everyone is happy to be at work, we share information. Knowledge share is always happening.
Review from Engineering Dept
I don't think coworkers are to blame but the exec team pushing the agenda of toxic positivity. The sheer homogeneity of Widen doesn't allow for us to appreciate or tolerate diversity. The peer reviews are spiteful and encouraged by management. It's all a bit of a circus.
Work/life balance is supported, not penalized for taking PTO or needing time off, we can choose to work condensed work weeks and remain full time remote. It's extremely dog-friendly as well, which is always a good sign.
The people I get to work with on a daily basis. There is nothing else.
Flexibility and quality of life (work/life balance encouraged), the office is bright and comfortable, my commute is very short.
Review from Engineering Dept
Work from home/flexibility, understanding when personal things come up, professional & fun co-workers, interesting people, innovation, nothing is ever stagnant
Review from Operations Dept
It is positive and fun.
Review from Engineering Dept
Embrace diversity. Be ok with difference. If you're serious about making change, do it! See the world and learn about different business cultures. And please don't bring religion into the work place.
The timeline was followed to a T, interviewers were professional but still very supportive of the interviewee, I felt challenged but it wasn't daunting; I got out what I put in.
The process was very quick.
I liked the stages and the organization.
Review from Engineering Dept
When I was hired: The culture fit interview was unique and fun! When I was the one doing the hiring: I like the software we used to keep track of the applicants plus HR was on top of everything for me which was helpful.
Review from Operations Dept
We make sure our hires are a good fit for the position and the Widen environment.
Review from Engineering Dept
Don't involve 30 people in a process: it shows a lack of confidence. Use intuition and not a scoring system.
The days I can work freely without fear of retaliation, or without operational blockers.
I haven't found happiness at work in a long time.
My direct team, and when I am actually doing my core job responsibilities.
Review from Engineering Dept
Doing work that I enjoy and makes me feel satisfied, working with professional and fun coworkers, challenging work, never boring, and I feel like I make a true impact each day.
Review from Operations Dept
No two days are alike. Constantly learning and growing.
Review from Engineering Dept
I dread it. My mental health has suffered working at Widen as I'm constantly trying to be something I'm not. Bullying is rife and HR runs a kangaroo court. It all feels very amateur and unprofessional, almost like a start up or a business run by kids.
There's nothing wrong, just other things I'd rather be doing.
Some departments seem overstaffed while others feel really understaffed. Wish we could improve faster, but that might be a constraint of a small(er) company.
We have the freedom to work as needed to accomplish our goals. Micromanagement is incredibly discouraged.
Review from Engineering Dept
Flexible and open to ideas.
Review from Customer Support Dept
We need to have better documentation of existing knowledge so different teams aren't wasting time.
Review from Engineering Dept
Take action on ideas that are right for the company and customers.
