They live by the company values and pass this onto the rest of us to work to our full potential.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone has their own personalities, but instead of clashing the differences between us add to the team's culture and dynamic. It feels great to be allowed to be myself.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I get shares in the company, which as a growing business is exciting. I feel like the harder I work, the more I am contributing to the share price increasing to benefit me in the future.
What makes you most happy at work?
That I work in a place where I feel I belong, and I want to give more than is asked. Being able to make a latte in the morning and a soft drink in the afternoon, always feels surreal compare to my previous jobs.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
It feels like a group of friends working together, even though we have our separate lives when we leave for the day. The environment is interpreted differently for everyone, but I like the "work hard, play hard" culture. I know that when my work is done, I deserve the perks that come with Xero.
What did you like most about the interview process?
It was more about me as a person rather than how I work. It was nice to be able to sit with the team I could've potentially be working with to get an idea of what I would be doing. It felt as though I was also being given the opportunity to decide if Xero was right for me as well as vice versa.
