We work a pretty standard 40 hours/week. Our mission is to help employees do the best work of their lives, and we have fun doing it!

What are the most important soft skills I need to be successful at Xero Inc?
Kiss the right rear ends and don’t question anything, ever. Oh, and throw as many bad deals at the wall to see what sticks...it’s the only way to keep your gig. Management refuses to acknowledge that the US competitive landscape in their niche is very different from the ANZ region 10 years ago. Their latest strategy is a “practice tools/practice platform” approach - the catch is the tools have major deficiencies for the US market as they were designed for the workflows and regulatory environment in ANZ. Don’t question that - sell it and move on. Who cares about your own personal integrity or professional reputation, right? That’s pretty much it. Fall in line or move on.
How's the work life balance at Xero Inc?
Perfect. I can take care of personal issues during the day without any issues.
What Marketing department questions did Xero ask during your job interview?
I was employed in 2010 I don't recall the specific questions but unlikely to relate to marketing as I was employed in a completely different role.

Very helpful
How does Xero measure success and growth in the Marketing department?
Most of our success is measured from the impact we have in driving additional business. This comes in a variety of forms, whether as new business leads, growth with existing business through a campaign, or a combination of the two (end-to-end sales funnel improvements). There are also some branding metrics we look to follow to show how visible we're becoming in the US, specifically in cities where we have a sales presence vs. those we currently do not.
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Xero Inc?
I would encourage people to get out of their comfort zones and take the initiative on culture bonding experiences.
How difficult is it to maintain a social life while in your job at Xero Inc?
Not that difficult. Xero values work like balance and self care.
