How would you compare interviewing at Xero Inc to other places you've interviewed?
I thought the process was better than other places. The interview was a conversation between the hiring manager and I. I could tell based on this that I was going to like being part of the Xero team.
What was the most difficult question that was asked during your interview at Xero Inc?
I was asked if I I truly believe in the mission and purpose of what Xero is trying to accomplish.
What should I wear for an interview at Xero Inc?
Business casual attire. Xero has a laid back dress code, but you are still on an interview.
Who did you meet with during your interview? And how long did it take to hear back from Xero Inc?
I met with a recruiter, hiring manager and VP. Xero was very timely and open with communication throughout the recruitment process.
What HR department questions did Xero Inc ask during your job interview?
We talked about the culture and values of the company. Both Xero and I wanted to make sure our ideals were aligned with each other.
What does the ideal candidate in the HR department look like at Xero Inc?
Grounded, knowledgeable, a good listener.

Very situational, mostly how you would handle different issues that may arise.

How flexible is your work schedule at Xero Inc?
Pretty flexible. Xero values work life balance so I am able to WFH if I choose at least once a week, but I rarely do. I do enjoy the flexibility to get in later and leave earlier when my work load allows.
How helpful was your HR team when you were first hired at Xero Inc?
Extremely. Xero HR reached out to me before I started to confirm logistics and then held an extensive on-boarding on my first day.
How do you feel about going to work at Xero Inc everyday?

I love going into work each day. It's exciting to work amongst people who are passionate about our product and mission, and truly support one another.
Pretty excited! There’s always a lot going on and I’m very energized.
