Saugata began his career at The Godrej Group, a major diversified conglomerate based in Mumbai, India, where over seven years he held leadership roles in sales and e-commerce product development, led supply chain re-engineering initiatives, and worked in the Office of the Chairman on strategic initiatives. Saugata holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics, with Honors, from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, India; a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, India; and an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he graduated as a George F. Baker Scholar.
