overall the job is very easy to get to grips with if your willing to put in the hard work and go the extra mile. Just dont expect anything back from managers too much.
Customer engagement could be enhanced
Who knows what the M&S mission statement is? I will bet half the work force or even the customer base do not. My experience, I do not see any interest in customer satisfaction at all. We have a lot of good managers to be fair, but the majority have to large egos and do not care about the customer.
