When I joined Carbon, it was an exciting company to be a part of, even world changing. But it has lost a lot of luster, direction, and I don't see much motivation in the team around me. People still do their work, and are good at it, but there's no hunger or real investment.

Carbon instituted a bonus and fertility benefits, which is great.

Carbon has a lot of very smart people to work with.

Reaching major milestones and feeling a win with the full team. Working with smart people.

I think the people at Carbon is among the best part. There are a lot of really smart, capable, and fun people.

The leadership team genuinely cares about doing the right there, whether that is for business goals, or company culture and staying on top of macro events.

The company cares a lot about social issues and DEI. The ERGs do a great job of creating fun and socially conscious events, and bringing the employee base together.
Revisión
People care about social causes, different perspectives, and diversity. I also really love we launched the engagement survey, which highlighted through data some broad sweeping issues, like people don't feel valued, so that we can better address them.

We are not quite sure what the new CEO's direction for the company is. Since taking over more than 3 months ago, the company has not really seen much of plan. Anything we have seen are rather vague.
Revisión
The company does not have direction. Most people do what they need to get the job done, but not much more as the company is in a holding pattern. Employees don't have the why of putting in discretionary effort. Advancement opportunities are essentially none.

My comp is <market by ~10%. I am aware of several director/VP promos w/o equity or comp increase (vs 15-20% std). A level 4 promo on my team was ~5% comp increase on a below mkt base. Hard to be promoted to level 5/6. People talk about this. It's a message the company is not doing well enough.
