Many individuals, myself included, have said that the bonds with their peers is what keeps them at RMS - not the work or level of compensation as both are misaligned.

Teams are often overworked and managers are in a difficult position of having to continue motivating their teams without being able to provide enough recognition during review cycles (promotional titles or compensation).

Additional responsibilities are often pushed onto individuals when a teammate resigns or is asked to leave the company, but no corresponding compensation occurs... individuals are expected to "get on with the work" and their workloads are no longer fairly aligned with their compensation.

Everyone feels overworked, but among teammates there is a sense of camaraderie and willingness to go above and beyond to help each other. Today you may be helping them, but you are happy to do so as you know they'll be there to help you when you need it the next day or whenever.
