
They are making changes to "put their money where their mouth is" to show they value employees by addressing the severe lack in compensation, and by adding programs they think the employees want.
They are there to back me up when I need it, and they know they can count on me to do the same. There is no "blamestorming" when things go wrong-- only a desire to fix the problem.
I feel that I am valued by my team, by my management, and by my client. I know what I am expected to do, and I am able to do it. The paycheck is always on time, and it is always correct.
I took a pay cut when I left a very small company to take this job 10 years ago, and I am still making less now than I was at the previous job. There was a years-long "drought" where no raises or bonuses were given in the entire area of the company (other than executives, of course).
