I think of UP as a respectable place to work and am proud to work here. I love the new work from home policy. UP is known for layoffs and that is a bit stressful, never feeling like you are really safe.

I often say, the company pays well and has great benefits but you sell your soul to work there. Meaning, there are definite monetary perks but you work long hours, are constantly understaffed, and it is very stressful with little long term relief.

Working at UP is something I am proud of; however, it is frustrating to constantly feel like your job is at risk of layoffs. UP also advocates satisfaction of employees, however lowering WFH option to 1 day/week makes the job less competitive/desirable and does not help improve work/life balance.

There is no consistency in our team roles or "hot topics". Staffing shortage. Employees don't trust management since there is no consistency which makes it hard to manage.
