UL is a company that cares about people. This was confirmed for me during the Covid pandemic. Employee safety was addressed very quickly and protocols were established to ensure the safety of all. I feel valued and cared for as a UL employee.

We test products at UL so it always makes me happy when the product passes the test! It makes me happy to know that our work ensures that safe products will make their way into the marketplace.

I met staff from all levels of the organization and I was given a tour of the labs. I had the opportunity to sit down one on one with staff members who told me about the work they do and what would be expected of me.

Our leadership team keeps staff informed and engaged in all new initiatives at UL. They schedule town halls and they create and release videos so that we get to see them and hear their messages. They encourage feedback and make every effort to incorporate employee ideas for improvement.

We have a mission to make the world a safer place. That is always the priority. Our customers come first and we work as a team to deliver what they need. As an employee, I feel supported by my managers and colleagues to make this mission a reality.

Our team is diverse in age, gender and educational background. Although UL is an Engineering company, my team recognizes and values the strengths of all employees. UL is a knowledge based company. We are always seeking ways to increase our knowledge and share this with customers and colleagues.
