Review from HR Dept
professional respectful inspirational inspiring organized
Very experienced, friendly, and communicative.
Smart, focused on business and customer needs, growth oriented but retains historic emphasis on doing things right
Review from Engineering Dept
there is at least an effort to be transparent.
Improvements could be made if they understood the testing process and considered test failures in the testing phase. Having the engineers understand the testing process would greatly benefit the company if they are open to strengthening the company.
Actually offer a career path, promote people or anything, its much lip service and no action, unless you are part of the CEOs inner circle.
Given the results of their sctions, Resigning.

Bring back C&I leadership frim 2018
understanding how hard it is for the people actually doing the work and make it easier for us.
Insurance, healthcare together with annual check-up and dental care.
Annual Incentive bonus is great
Review from HR Dept
salary is fair hours are fair
A lot of choices and variable components
They offer Life insurance and 401k
Low pay, no path for growth
Actually paying market rate and at least offer a salary that is in line with inflation, it becomes harder and harder to work for UL every year.
Higher pay and some respect.
Review from Engineering Dept
The cost incease in compensation equals our raises.
Teams are overworked, deadlines are missed, and the work keeps piling on. Instead of hiring more resources or allowing for actual project management, leadership and executive leadership stresses the need for time management and personal accountability. People are working 60+ hour weeks.
Collaborative, Supportive, High Spirit and open to new challenge.
People are kind and listen
Review from HR Dept
They are smart, collaborative, willing to help each other be successful. Aligned goals.
Mission driven with public safety focus
Review from Engineering Dept
People work with a collaborative mindset and our clients are at the center of everything we do. We are extremely intelligent (advanced degrees), hard working, diligent, and creative thinkers. People respect each other's knowledge and experience and are always trying to grown and learn more.
Do not leave grunt work for your coworkers.
Ignore repeating the buzzwords from the senior management actually set meetings that accomplish something.
Top Management is not hinest
My coworkers are leaving in droves and I don't blame them!
Communication and teamwork is missing greatly
Open communication, aligned goals, and compassion for each other
Interacting with engaged peers to solve problems
Review from Engineering Dept
hybrid working work well even though leadership is not so thrilled about it. forcing staff back into the office is not the way BUT there are ways to incentifize staff to return , to make it there own preference. I will consult on this if asked.
Flexible work hours arrangement. Option for remote, hybrid or work on site
Review from Sales Dept
Its still mission driven which I hope remains in tact.
Burn it all down and redo it.
Higher management listening to all levels of employees.
Senior Management needs to stop talking trash about other Senior Managers and begin listening to their teams and working towards solutions to solve problems. It's like a reality show at the moment.
New CEO that understands the pulse of the company, management restructure to provide more salary for the staff that's actually doing the work, less micromanagement, more competitive pay and benefits
Just treat prople as humans and stop the Woke stuff

Interviewing with not just the hiring manager but also the team you would be working for.
Managers need to be better prepared
Stronger screening of internal candidates against hiring manager / team expectations.
Review from Operations Dept
They seem to be following a que card of questions. The time it takes to getting hired is way to long on the average it has taken 2 to 4 mnths. Contact made to interviewee with yeah or nah for acceptance would be courteous.
Review from Sales Dept
Focus on the strengths and weaknesses of being, knowing and doing of people
The behavior questions are lengthy and repetitive. Our specific team has implemented a more personal approach to interviewing like having other team members participate, tour and feel involved in the decision making process. This isn't general practice at UL though.
Review from Engineering Dept
Harmonized team mate. Colleagues are generally helpful and understanding.
The company mission and contributing to make the world a better place
Accomplishing a major task and seeing it in print

Review from Sales Dept

No respect gor technical kniwledge...which is the only thing customers want!
Review from Engineering Dept
There was a long period of a couple months where the programs stopped working and everything has to be done as a workaround. Then there was a breach and employees info was leaked and I'm sure customer info as well.
We are constantly behind do to low staffing. UL Upper Management fails to realize that poorly trained temps, that have to be replaced frequently, are not a good solution. They lead to more errors and tension in the operation. Yet they push policy that drive veteran staff out of company.
Extremely high prices on everything
We still work as a non profit company thinking that we are doing favor to our customers. We need full mindset change.
Review from Business Development Dept

The entire HR team and the nepotistic culture.
Review from Marketing Dept
The commitment of DE& I and inclusion promise need to be implemented simultaneously, bottom-up & top-down, and without prejudice. I believe that this is what will set UL aside from many employers of choice.
